I did this one as a demo for a workshop I taught. The mixed media includes stucco patch as well as drywall tape. The first step in the process is to work intuitively and see what arises. Then I go in and refine it: Eliminate distractions, reinforce the focal point and so on. This can be really hard, since you often fall in love with some small element. But it's about choices, and about the dialogue.
