This is the second watercolor and pastel hibiscus, I just love to paint this flower, especially the hybrids. They are so interesting and of course gorgeous. There are so many different varieties today with a few horticulturalists experimenting with them. It is a lot of fun to attempt painting them in different media. I hope you enjoy. Mahalo!

I started this painting with a very loose watercolor wash over the flower sketch and a deeper wash for the background. I thought the background worked well so did not work pasted into it at all. Thanks for looking.
